Ola emu amigos!



Olá meu amigos! I have been in quarantine for almost a month now. but it feels like forever! I am now in a trio with my trainer and Elder Stoor who was in Amadora the city next to ours. We are still in Que Luz and we somehow all fit in our tiny apartment haha. We have been doing lessons through Whatsapp and it's great to see how happy it makes these people who are in quarantine like us and how you can still feel the spirit! General conference was really cool. Elder Stoor and I watched it in English together and we did this thing where we would write down three questions we had. During confrence we would listen to find answers and advice about the questions we had. It was a cool expierence! During confrence my testimony for the Prophet and the Apostles grew so much. I could feel and see how much they love the people in this world and they really are called and ordained from God! Having this oppurtunity to hear them and other people speak was such a blessing! These times are hard, but I know that if we make Christ the center of our lives and follow His teachings, we will be happy even in hard times. I pray for you all and hope everyone is doing good.   Olá Meus Queridos!! I don't know when was the last time I've written to all of you 😅. If any of you still read these posts I just wanna say thanks for being patient with me!  A lot has changed recently in our mission... We received a new mission President and his family. A bunch of new missionaries from the states are starting to arrive. I have served most of my mission close to Lisbon and in the central part of Portugal. But this last transfer I was sent all the way up to the northern part of the country in a little town outside of Porto called São João da Maderia. It's such a cool little area with a lot of trees and a good view of the ocean. The northern part of Portugal is completely different from the central and southern part. The people are very hard to talk to and the culture is different. Week 5

Ola todos!! I have been in the MTC for 5 weeks now! Like I said before, the time keeps on flying by super fast! This week was really good besides me having a cold lol, but I’m starting to feel better! We didn't have any new missionaries come into our zone this week, so that meant my comp and I had more TRC'S!! We have been teaching this girl named Mele and I have loved being able to teach her with my comp! She is super nice and speaks very fast BRAZILLIAN PORTUGUESE!! It's so hard to understand her lol because she pronounces everything differently than we do because we speak Continental Portuguese. I can understand half of what she says, but it still works out pretty good and she understands what we are trying to teach. We have been teaching her how important baptism is and having faith in God and how making and keeping covenants with him will bless us. Week 6!!!

Ola!! Hope everyone is doing well! Today is my last day at the MTC and I’m soooo ready to get out and serve! To be completely honest, I did not think I would have such a good experience here at the MTC, but I'm so glad that I did! I owe it all to my Heavenly Father for putting such amazing people in my life. I have truly learned so much from everyone here at the MTC and I hope I can have the same effect on the people that I will meet in Portugal! On our last day of class with my teacher Irmao Haycock we did this really cool activity for our last day. We went to the S1 building in the MTC and in that building there is this long hallway with paintings of Christ all over the wall. Our teacher told us to walk down the hall and look at each painting of Christ and try to feel the spirit and see what each painting means to us, and once we got done looking at all of them, we would walk back down the hall and show each other which painting was our favorite and what it meant to us.
