Week 6!!!

Ola!! Hope everyone is doing well! Today is my last day at the MTC and I’m soooo ready to get out and serve! To be completely honest, I did not think I would have such a good experience here at the MTC, but I'm so glad that I did! I owe it all to my Heavenly Father for putting such amazing people in my life. I have truly learned so much from everyone here at the MTC and I hope I can have the same effect on the people that I will meet in Portugal! On our last day of class with my teacher Irmao Haycock we did this really cool activity for our last day. We went to the S1 building in the MTC and in that building there is this long hallway with paintings of Christ all over the wall. Our teacher told us to walk down the hall and look at each painting of Christ and try to feel the spirit and see what each painting means to us, and once we got done looking at all of them, we would walk back down the hall and show each other which painting was our favorite and what it meant to us. This acti

Week 5

Ola todos!! I have been in the MTC for 5 weeks now! Like I said before, the time keeps on flying by super fast! This week was really good besides me having a cold lol, but I’m starting to feel better! We didn't have any new missionaries come into our zone this week, so that meant my comp and I had more TRC'S!! We have been teaching this girl named Mele and I have loved being able to teach her with my comp! She is super nice and speaks very fast BRAZILLIAN PORTUGUESE!! It's so hard to understand her lol because she pronounces everything differently than we do because we speak Continental Portuguese. I can understand half of what she says, but it still works out pretty good and she understands what we are trying to teach. We have been teaching her how important baptism is and having faith in God and how making and keeping covenants with him will bless us. We will always have the gift of the Holy Ghost if we endure to the end! The MTC is such a cool and fun place and I'm

Week 4 :)))

Ola!! It's my fourth week here and the days are going by faster and faster, I love it!! This week was pretty chill not much happened but one cool thing that happened was that I got my VISAAAAA!!! Im stoked and excited to go to Portugal in two weeks!! The language has been good and I feel like I'm progressing pretty well! One thing that I encouraged everyone to do this week is to reach out to someone in need and share some love that all of us have. It only takes one little Christ like action to change someone's life. Also with conference coming up I encourage everyone to read Joseph Smith's history in the pearl of great price! After reading and studying this, my love and faith for the scriptures and Joseph Smith has increased so much. The amount of faith and obedience Joseph had is so inspiring and all the things he and other people had to do to translate and keep the Book of Mormon safe is so sick. I'm so grateful for the restoration of this church and the

Week Threeeeee :D

Three weeks down!! I'm gonna keep this one pretty short but this week was another great week! We had our first TRC in Portuguese this week and it went super good! My Portuguese is coming along pretty good and the whole time I could understand what our investigator was saying, so that helped a ton lol. We got a bunch of new missionaries this week and our zone doubled in size so that was kind of crazy but fun! When my comp and I had to go pick them up we lost half of them and I was running around the MTC trying to find them and I finally did haha. We said goodbye to the Spanish sisters in our zone and that was really sad because we have all became such good friends, but I'm excited to get close to the new elders and sisters! The weather has been pretty good but it's snowing today so that sucks haha. One cool thing I learned this week was how important faith is and how it relates to obedience. Sometimes I feel like we have all of these rules at the MTC and it feels like that
