Ola!





Olá todos! I'm gonna start this weeks email with a baptism story! If any you remember our friend Carlos who lives in London, well last Sunday he was baptized! It was such a great experience watching his baptism through Zoom! Haha I think that's gonna be a normal thing now for missionaries 😉. I was able to give the spiritual thought at this baptism and it was so touching to see how truly happy he was to be baptized. After his baptism he called us and we just talked about how far he has come and how much of a miracle it was that we were able to get in contact with him and teach him through technology! 

This week has been pretty normal, teaching online, staying in the house most of the day, all of the usual. But this Sunday we had our first sacrament meeting in person! I only had 3 here in Portugal - so this was my 4th sacrament meeting in person and I've been out here for 6 months... haha whatever 😅. Our Bishop gave a great talk about hearing and following the Lords voice over all of the other voices in the world. There are so many different beliefs and opinions flying around today and it can be hard to know which are right. Through all of this confusion if we hearken unto the voice of the Lord we will know the truth! I’m so grateful for all of the resources we have to hear Him!

  Olá Meus Queridos!! I don't know when was the last time I've written to all of you 😅. If any of you still read these posts I just wanna say thanks for being patient with me!  A lot has changed recently in our mission... We received a new mission President and his family. A bunch of new missionaries from the states are starting to arrive. I have served most of my mission close to Lisbon and in the central part of Portugal. But this last transfer I was sent all the way up to the northern part of the country in a little town outside of Porto called São João da Maderia. It's such a cool little area with a lot of trees and a good view of the ocean. The northern part of Portugal is completely different from the central and southern part. The people are very hard to talk to and the culture is different. Week 5

Ola todos!! I have been in the MTC for 5 weeks now! Like I said before, the time keeps on flying by super fast! This week was really good besides me having a cold lol, but I’m starting to feel better! We didn't have any new missionaries come into our zone this week, so that meant my comp and I had more TRC'S!! We have been teaching this girl named Mele and I have loved being able to teach her with my comp! She is super nice and speaks very fast BRAZILLIAN PORTUGUESE!! It's so hard to understand her lol because she pronounces everything differently than we do because we speak Continental Portuguese. I can understand half of what she says, but it still works out pretty good and she understands what we are trying to teach. We have been teaching her how important baptism is and having faith in God and how making and keeping covenants with him will bless us. Week 6!!!

Ola!! Hope everyone is doing well! Today is my last day at the MTC and I’m soooo ready to get out and serve! To be completely honest, I did not think I would have such a good experience here at the MTC, but I'm so glad that I did! I owe it all to my Heavenly Father for putting such amazing people in my life. I have truly learned so much from everyone here at the MTC and I hope I can have the same effect on the people that I will meet in Portugal! On our last day of class with my teacher Irmao Haycock we did this really cool activity for our last day. We went to the S1 building in the MTC and in that building there is this long hallway with paintings of Christ all over the wall. Our teacher told us to walk down the hall and look at each painting of Christ and try to feel the spirit and see what each painting means to us, and once we got done looking at all of them, we would walk back down the hall and show each other which painting was our favorite and what it meant to us.
